In joining Acast, the acclaimed Anna Faris Is Unqualified podcast will reach new listeners internationally, and will support fully dynamic ad insertion and advanced sponsorship integrations with brands
Anna Faris Is Unqualified has joined Acast, the world’s leading independent podcast company. Under the new partnership, Acast will expand the podcast’s reach and audience across markets globally, and will allow the show to support brand integrations using novel sponsorship technology.
Since launching the weekly talk show in 2015, beloved American actor, comedian, and writer Anna Faris has helped millions of people navigate the thought-provoking and often tough questions they encounter in love and relationships, reaching hundreds of thousands of listeners every week. In each podcast episode, she sits down with a high-profile celebrity or expert guest to explore their life, before they’re joined by a listener looking for relationship advice.
The award-winning show has been recognized as a top podcast by Apple Podcasts, the Shorty Awards, and Entertainment Weekly. Recent guests have included Matthew McConaughey, Seth Rogen, Cameron Diaz, Samin Nosrat, Melissa McCarthy, Simu Liu, Gwyneth Paltrow, Carla Hall, Amy Schumer, Esther Perel, and Kenan Thompson, among many other household names.
“When I started Unqualified, it was important to me to use it as a way for people to connect over the common experiences we all go through in life and relationships — to show there’s a lot more that brings us together than separates us,” said Faris, creator and host of the podcast. “I wanted to partner with a podcast company that shares those values and believes in fostering community by removing the barriers between us. That company is Acast.”
As part of its commitment to the open podcast ecosystem, Acast will distribute the series widely and make it accessible to listeners on all podcast platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, Google Podcasts, Samsung Free, and more.
Veronika Taylor, Senior Vice President of Acast’s Creator Network, said: “Anna has created this extremely intimate space for people to have heartfelt, funny, gripping conversations about the experiences we all share. Her unique approach to community building is a prime example of what makes podcasting such a special medium. We’ll be helping Anna bring the show’s important conversations to more people all over the world, ensuring it’s accessible to audiences everywhere.”
In addition to its renowned programming, Anna Faris Is Unqualified has also become known for Faris’s compelling sponsorship reads. Acast will enable the podcast to build on its reputation with advertisers and support more sophisticated brand integrations.
Through Acast, Anna Faris Is Unqualified will for the first time employ dynamic ad insertion across every ad and sponsorship segment on the podcast — meaning each listener will hear relevant, timely ads inserted into episodes the moment they’re streamed. The podcast will support premium ad products available through the Acast Marketplace and will also be available for purchase programmatically. Additionally, brands will be able to partner with Acast Creative, the company’s in-house creative ad solutions team, to create bespoke branded segments, Sponsored Stories, and other engaging formats.
Anna Faris Is Unqualified is produced by Michael Barrett, Rob Holysz, Jeph Porter, and Kasper Selvig. Faris is represented by United Talent Agency.
