Acast is the Home of Football

2022.06.30

In 2022, Acast is the Home of Football. It’s a big year for the sport, with one of the closest Premier League title races in the past few years having recently concluded, an exciting UEFA Women’s European competition taking place throughout the UK in July, and — of course — a FIFA Men’s World Cup in Qatar at the end of the year.

Acast hosts the biggest and best football podcasts in the world, and recently we welcomed a couple of new star signings. Legendary striker Peter Couch and his podcast That Peter Crouch Podcast joined the Acast Creator Network, along with The Second Captains Podcast — one of Ireland’s biggest shows. They’ve added to a line-up featuring footballing giants such as Football Ramble, Football Weekly from the Guardian, The Stand, Open Goal and Athletico Mince

Outside the UK, Born Offside is a brand-new show focusing on the Australian perspective of international football, and in Sweden we host Studio Allsvenskan and Sportbladets Premier League Podd. Elsewhere in Europe, Acast is home to French show Foot Sale, Prolongation: Entretiens avec les acteurs du foot and Alternative Football, as well as Germany’s Fums — Die Show and Knappe klärt.

Throughout the next few months, we’ll be celebrating Acast as the Home of Football Podcasts. Across our social media channels and network we’ll be recommending our favourite episodes about the beautiful game.

We’ll be taking a look at the UEFA Women’s Euro finals with the Football Ramble Presents: Upfront podcast, exploring must-listen moments from The Second Captains Podcast and The Stand, and celebrating the build-up to the World Cup with our stalwarts at Football Weekly and Football Ramble.

Later this summer, Acast will also showcase the power of the fan podcast. Our football roster is also home to many individual club podcasts, and we’ll be on a mission to show how podcasts can empower a club's fanbase — no matter the number of fans or size of the club.
